
The main motor is a 1:63 stepdown spur gear mount with integral encoder at the rear of the motor.
The blue/purple finned plate the motor butts up against is to provide additional cooling for the front motor bearings.
Through the current gearbox and diffs, the overall reduction is around 1:560, with around 5kg/m of torque through the whole motor speed range!
